Each work in this caribou hair sculpturing triptych depicts an endangered species from Northern Alberta. Using this method, the artist sculpts hair that is still attached to the hide like a relief carving. Each work is overlaid on velvet, a material used customarily for tufting, with an appliqué of polyurethane tarp depicting aerial maps of pipelines underground in habitats where these species are struggling for their survival.
